Biking Adventures

Lookout Pass is the hub of the Northwest’s most legendary trails. From family outings to multi-day bikepacking expeditions, there’s something for every rider.

Rail-Trail Classics

  • Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes (73 mi paved): Wildlife, lakes, and family-friendly fun.

  • NorPac Trail (~22 mi gravel): Gentle climb over Lookout Pass, connecting ID ↔ MT.

  • Route of the Hiawatha (15 mi gravel): Ride through the St. Paul Pass Tunnel and across seven sky-high trestles. Lights and tickets required.

  • Route of the Olympian (31 mi gravel): Remote, riverside beauty extending from the Hiawatha.

  • Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Traverse: 4–6 days of alpine lakes, meadows, and remote passes.
